Affiliate Mail
Using Affiliate Mail Strategies
To Attract Super Affiliates
Here's something important to understand: Affiliate sales account for anywhere from 20% to 50% or
more for most online companies.
Affiliates are a big and growing force in the online market place. Therefore, it's a good idea to
find and attract the ones with the biggest lists. They can literally make you a small fortune overnight with just
one email blast to their subscribers.
How do you find them?
Actually, that's pretty easy. You see, the "big boys" often have best-selling online products. All
you have to do is go to your affiliate network and see who is in the top 10 or 20 for sales in a specific market or
product category. Those who sell a lot of their own products usually have massive lists of customers you can tap
into.
Now that you know how to find them the next thing to tackle is how to approach them. This is where
most people go wrong. They send an email and think that'll do the trick. Not so. Email is too easy to ignore. Plus
it shows you're not very serious about recruiting the super affiliate.
Keep this in mind: People like doing business with people they know, like and trust.
You can't expect to be known, liked and trusted through an email message. You need to do a lot more
including using the following affiliate mail strategies.
Send the prospective affiliate a real live personal snail mail letter. Tell them how you found out
about them and warm them up a bit. Then let them know your proposal. Explain exactly what you have in mind and why
they should bother becoming your affiliate.
Then call them up in a couple of days to set up a time to chat things over.
During the phone conversation is where they will get to know you better and decide if it's worth
their time to get involved with you.
Sending affiliate mail requests and following up by phone is probably the best way to get these
people excited about promoting your products.
